Speaker Information

Mob Programming 2021 will once again be a full conference with a schedule and Moberators similar to what we originally planned for this year.  The conference dates for 2021 are not yet known so this exact set of presenters is not yet confirmed, but we will start by inviting them all. For 2020 we are instead offering a simple online event we are calling the Mob Programming Gathering. Info for that is here.

All presenters at this gathering are selected by invitation. You can see the presenters we had last year at Mob Programming 2019.

Panelists for 2020

Lea Kovac Beckman

Lea Kovac Beckman

Lea is a strong voice for including the whole cross functional team in a mob – mobbing discovery and delivery – all the benefits and how you can work with challenges that comes with it.

She has been mob developing since mid 2016 as a UX designer, together with programmers, tester and product owner. Lea loves to share experiences, learn about and coach other teams working as a mob. She also facilitates workshops and retros in mob development and has held several talks as well as written about mob development.

Lea works as UX designer / researcher in a team of eight, developing digital services for mainly SVT News and Sports (Swedish Television). Everyone in the team participates in the team mob more often than not. Read more about our wins as a mob, and how we handle difficulties, in this post.

Moderator for 2020

Scott Ford

Scott Ford

Scott Ford, who has been called the “Bob Vila of the internet”, is the Co-Founder and CTO of Corgibytes — a boutique software consultancy specializing in modernizing and maintaining existing codebases. Scott is a polyglot developer who, at last count, is fluent in over twenty programming languages. Scott’s love of software restoration and remodeling began in college where he and his team were responsible for retrofitting the testing tools for the X-31 jet fighter. Since then, Scott has maintained a test-focused approach to his work and found the most joy in projects where an existing codebase needed to be improved. Scott is currently working on his first book Software Remodeling: A DIY Approach to Transforming Your Legacy Code.

In addition to fixing old code, Scott enjoys anime, reading sci-fi fiction and comic books and spending time with his kids. And yes, he does have a Corgi, her name is Ein, and if you recognize that reference, we might just give you a discount.
